Jim Zemlin
Executive Director, The Linux Foundation
 
Jim's career spans three of the largest technology trends to rise over the last decade: mobile computing, cloud computing and open source software. Today, as executive director of The Linux Foundation, he uses this experience to accelerate innovation in technology through the use of open source and Linux.
 
At The Linux Foundation, Jim works with the world’s largest technology companies, including IBM, Intel, Google, Samsung, Qualcomm, and others to help define the future of computing on the server, in the cloud, and on a variety of new mobile computing devices. His work at the vendor-neutral Linux Foundation gives him a unique and aggregate perspective on the global technology industry.
 
Jim has been recognized for his insights on the changing economics of the technology industry. His writing has appeared in Businessweek, Wired, and other top technology journals, and he is a regular keynote speaker at industry events. He advises a variety of startups, including Splashtop, and sits on the boards of the Global Economic Symposium, Open Source For America, and Chinese Open Source Promotion Union.
Hyogun Lee
Executive Vice President, Samsung Electronics
Chair, Tizen Technical Steering Group
 
Dr. Hyogun Lee holds the position of Executive Vice President at Samsung Electronics, and is the Head of the Software Platform Team in Samsung’s Software Center, leading the development of the Open Source Tizen Platform for smart devices, such as smartphones, smart watches, tablets, IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment), digital TVs, etc. He also leads the software development for digital TVs at the Visual Display Business Division. Dr. Lee earned his PhD from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) in Korea.
Chris Choi
Creative Director/Principal Designer, UX Center, Samsung Electronics
 
Chris is a creative director at Samsung Electronics UX Center in Corporate Design Center. Chris is currently leading a team that is overseeing the One Samsung UX initiative, which aims to unify Samsung’s UX principle through visual strategy creation and storytelling of internal One Samsung UX goal sharing story series. Chris has worked on diverse design disciplinary projects over the past 12 years at Samsung, ranging from revamping the global user manual guide to interactive retail 3D solutions and design concept storytelling for Samsung’s flagship products.
 
Prior to joining Samsung, Chris spent 10 years as co-founder and creative director at a Korean award winning multi-disciplinary design firm that covers work from print media and branding to multimedia web site production for major Korean corporations.
Minkyong Kim
Vice President, Samsung Electronics
 
Minkyong Kim leads a R&D Team in Digital Appliances Business of Samsung Electronics. Her areas include Cloud Computing, IoT and Artificial Intelligence with special focus on Voice and Vision. Based on these research areas, she leads design and development of smart appliances and services.

Prior to joining Samsung, Dr. Kim worked as a research scientist at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, NY.  Numerous research projects that Dr. Kim led became IBM products, including Bluemix (IBM’s PaaS Cloud) and IBM System S Stream Computing System. 
 
Dr. Kim received her B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science & Engineering from Seoul National University in 1996 and 1998, respectively, and her Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2004. She worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Dartmouth College from 2004 to 2006.
Adam Tom
Senior Vice President & Chief Technical Officer, Samsung Electronics
 
Adam Tom holds the position of Senior Vice President & CTO at Samsung Electronics, leading software development for Samsung’s Content & Services division. An expert in media and streaming technologies, he is engineering the future of content and monetization on Samsung Smart TVs. Adam earned both his PhD and Masters from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Chris Park
Vice President, Product Partnerships, Glympse
 
Chris Park is the Vice President of Partner Platform at Glympse. Chris is responsible for defining the product strategy and roadmap for Glympse’s location sharing platform. He works with partners to integrate Glympse’s location sharing APIs across smartphones, wearables, connected cars and connected home devices. Prior to joining Glympse, Chris lead product initiatives at Amazon, HTC and T-Mobile. Chris has an engineering background and received his degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Adnan Agboatwalla “Boat”
Director of Innovation Programs for Product Innovation Team (PIT), Samsung Electronics
 
“Boat” is the Director of Innovation Programs for PIT at Samsung Electronics. He is responsible for commercializing products to go to market in North America. Boat is responsible for Family Hub 2.0, to bring it to market. He works with cross functional teams across user research, consumer marketing insights, design (UI/UX), engineering, marketing and sales. At the core, Boat is a product management lead. 
 
Boat is now leading the product management team for next generation of Family Hub content and services.
Hokyu Choi
Principal Professional, Samsung Electronics
 
Hokyu Choi received his Ph.D. degree from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Electronics Engineering, Taejeon, Korea, in 1999.
 
Since then, he has been working for Samsung Electronics in various areas such as R&D Center, Tech Strategy, and R&D Management. In January 2016, he became responsible for Tizen Business covering Tizen smartphone Product Planning/Product Management/Tizen Store/Tizen Eco development. He is also responsible for strategic partnership for Wearable devices such as Gear S series, Gear Fit series, etc.
Hong-Seok Kim
Vice President, Software R&D Center, Samsung Electronics
 
Hong-Seok Kim is the Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Software R&D Center. He leads Samsung’s efforts for the dev infrastructures and environments for Tizen developers. Recently, he has announced Tizen’s support for .NET Core. Before joining Samsung, he worked at Facebook and Microsoft. He received his Ph.D. from UIUC (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).
Demian Borba
Product Manager, Adobe XD, Software Engineer focused on UX and Web technologies
 
Demian is a Product Manager for Adobe XD on the Creative Cloud team at Adobe. He is based in the company’s San Francisco office and has more than 16 years of experience with technology, interactive media, design, business, community engagement and training. Before Adobe, he worked as a Developer Advocate, first for BlackBerry and then Braintree/PayPal, traveling the world to engage with developers and startups. He also ran Action Creations, an interactive agency based in San Diego, designing and developing apps for clients including Oakley, 20th Century Fox, World Surf League, Nike and more. Demian is committed to the growth of new innovators, has taught design and programming at UCSD, as well as his own training programs focused on Design Thinking and mobile development, reaching hundreds of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs. Learning, empathy, innovation and technology drive his work and his personal life. In addition to being a software engineer focused on UX and Web technologies, Demian is a surfer, Design Thinker, and father.
Immo Landwerth
Program Manager, .NET team, Microsoft
 
Immo Landwerth is a Program Manager on the .NET team at Microsoft. He works on the class libraries, specializing in API design and code reuse across platforms. He is the lead on the .NET Standard library project and works with the open source community to define the API surface area that all .NET platforms implement. Immo is also on the Advisory Council for the .NET Foundation which guides the technical direction of .NET as well as the governance of the foundation itself. He is also a blogger on the .NET Team Blog and you can find him on Twitter and GitHub @terrajobst.
Jerry Liu

Dr Liu, Ph.D of Melbourne University and the member of IEEE 802.11 Working Group, the co-founder and CEO of BroadLink. In just 4 years, Dr. Liu lead BroadLink growing from a small startup to be now the world's leading smart home solution provider, shipping 8M+ pieces of Wi-Fi modules every year for 200+ famous brand partners with turn-key provision of cloud service and apps and offering various smart home gadgets like smart plug, Wi-Fi to IR remote, smart light switch for consumers in 50+ countries as well as OEM for famous brands like Electrolux, Honeywell, Mitsubishi. The innovative BroadLink DNA System can help non-experienced manufacturers develop their own smart home appliance in the shortest time and port to 10+ famous platforms originally.
Curtis Sasaki
Vice President of Ecosystems, Samsung Electronics
 
Curtis Sasaki is the vice president of ecosystems for Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center (SSIC). He leads new business creation and is responsible for driving growth and innovation through product, technology and ecosystem development. He works with entrepreneurs and startups in Silicon Valley and other global technology hotspots, focusing on Smart Health, Big Data and the Internet of Things.
 
Prior to SSIC, Curtis was Senior Vice President of Samsung Media Solutions Center America (MSCA), where he oversaw the development of Samsung’s media services that work with Samsung Smart TVs, smartphones, tablets and other connected devices to deliver the best apps and content to the connected consumer. At MSCA, he also lead the Innovation Lab, a team that focuses on developing pioneering cloud services, the Developer Relations team that drove the Samsung Developer Conferences, as well as the North American Content Services team, which focuses on content partnerships and strategic partner relations.
 
Curtis has appeared at a number of prestigious conferences as keynote/invited speaker including CES, JavaOne Conference, BlackBerry Developer Conference, and Apple Developer Conferences. He is the recipient of more than 7 patents for innovative technologies
